Taking some time to find the Facebook group that may have likely candidates and then search through some of the group topics to find candidates to reach out to is one underutilized avenue of recruitment.
  2. Internal departments: Is it possible that someone you’ve already hired would be a good fit for an open tech position? Maybe you hired a talented employee for a particular position but their background may be applicable to a currently open position. Maybe they wanted to work in your IS or technology department but there were no roles open when they applied. More and more businesses are finding star candidates in their own employee roster, so it’s not a bad idea to go through resumes and records of existing employees and see what might pop up.
  3. LinkedIn keyword search: Not everyone who is talented and perhaps interested in a new role will end up finding your organization and applying for an open position. There are too many job boards and open opportunities for every possible applicant to see them all. That’s why it’s important to go find them. Many LinkedIn users have taken to adding “Looking for new opportunities” or “looking for a tech role” in their user profile and you can find these users easily by simply searching these terms in the main LinkedIn search bar.
